About Us

The Greater Gabbard wind farm is located in the North Sea, 40km east of Harwich.

The wind farm comprises 140 wind turbine generators and associated transmission assets. There are two offshore substation platforms located at separate sites, Inner Gabbard and Galloper.

The substations are connected onshore by three 45km subsea export cables. The onshore cables at 0.6km length connect to the onshore substation at Leiston, near Sizewell.

The shareholder has engaged EDS HV Limited who were founded in 1993 and have been servicing offshore renewables for over a decade.

EDS’s team of multi-skilled engineers and technicians will provide a full turnkey operations and maintenance solution for The Greater Gabbard offshore platforms, the onshore substation and grid connection at the 500MW Greater Gabbard in Lowestoft.
